Standards Aware

To be standards aware is more than just knowing what the current standards are. In the WWW, things move so rapidly that in order to really understand standards, you must be aware of coming changes and the discussions regarding standard drafts.

Every time a new standard for HTML comes out, discussion begins about changes for the version yet to come.

Due the rapid growth of the WWW, over the last 2 years one third of the attendees at IETF meetings are new to the organization, this introduction makes it likely that they will attract even more newcomers.
